Based in Supply, North Carolina, McCumbee McAleer Racing (MMR) was formed in 2014 by one of the most competitive driver pairings in North America with racers Chad McCumbee and Stevan McAleer.

Chad McCumbee, whose roots are grounded in stock car racing, rocketed through the ranks beginning in go-karts. He then transitioned to racing Late Models, he competed in the ARCA and premier NASCAR divisions, and eventually propelled into IMSA sports car racing. Chad has earned over 100 victories and competed at over 50 racetracks around the globe. WIth over 30+ years of racing under his belt, he is a household name when it comes to racing anything with four wheels.

Stevan McAleer, on the other hand, grew up racing go-karts across the pond in Scotland. Known for his calculated yet aggressive racing style, Stevan racked up dozens of wins in his early career before he transitioned to competing in the Skip Barber Series in the United States. Since then, he's become one of the most well known and successful sports car racers in the country. From Mazda Miata's to IMSA Prototypes, Stevan has found a way to earn victories and championships sitting behind every single steering wheel put in front of him..

Since the inception of their team in 2015, McCumbee McAleer Racing immediately unearthed the recipe for success; they earned Battery Tender Hard Charger awards and multiple race wins that year and, within just their third season of competing (2017), they brought home a championship. That year, the McCumbee McAleer Racing team went on to absolutely dominate the competition by winning 10 out of 12 races, they captured six poles, and they also earned the Team of the Year award.

As the team continued to acquire accolades and foster new and up-coming talent within the MX-5 Cup Challenge, MMR took the giant leap into fielding an IMSA Pilot Challenge Mustang in 2023. In the preliminary season for the team, they earned podiums and were identified as a force to be reckoned with. In 2024 the team didn't stop growing; MMR fielded an entry within the Ford Performance Mustang Challenge series. As the the team continues to expand, grow, and succeed, their goal has and will always remain consistent: WIN.
