MMR Closes Out a Championship Season with One Final Push at Road Atlanta

Oct 8, 2025

October 8, 2025 – Braselton, GA — After a thrilling and podium-filled weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway to close out the Mustang Challenge season, McCumbee McAleer Racing (MMR) heads into the final race weekend of the 2025 season with eyes on two more championships: the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup.

The momentum is strong coming into Road Atlanta. Last weekend, the MMR Mustang Challenge team wrapped up an impressive campaign:

Zachry Lee finished P2 in the Dark Horse Legends category

Marcos Vento clinched P4 in the Dark Horse category

As a team, MMR finished P3 overall in the championship

With that momentum, MMR now turns its focus to the Michelin Pilot Challenge and Mazda MX-5 Cup, where there’s still much to race for.

The #13 Ford Mustang GT4 will be piloted by Jenson Altzman and Nate Cicero, who have delivered consistent, high-performance results all season. Altzman currently sits third in the championship standings heading into the final race.

Jenson Altzman:“Super excited for Road Atlanta. We were fast here last year and have learned so much the last 12 months; we’ll be pushing to end the year with a strong result! Lots of championship talk going into the weekend. As far as I’m concerned, we just need to maximize what we can, and whatever happens, happens. Chad McCumbee has taught me a lot, but one thing that has always stuck is, ‘the best way to take care of the future is to take care of the present.’”

Nate Cicero:“It’s been a busy couple of weeks preparing, but we’re ready to give it one final push! Jenson and the team are in the title fight, and we believe we’ll have a strong car again at Road Atlanta. I’ll be looking to hand off the car in the best position possible.”

Mazda MX-5 Cup – Championship Finale

With two races left in the MX-5 Cup, Jeremy Fletcher is currently leading the championship (P1), with Nate Cicero also in the top 10 (P8).

Jeremy Fletcher:“I’m super excited going into the championship weekend. I have a lot of confidence in the team to give me a car that can get the job done. Like last year, I trust myself to make it happen—hopefully, we just have a bit more luck this time!”

Nate Cicero:“In MX-5, we’ve got nothing to lose. I’ll be pushing for strong results to close the season with a bang!”
